On November 24, 2024, at the World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony in Madeira, Portugal, Vietnam was honored as the "World's Leading Heritage Destination" for the 6th consecutive year. This remarkable achievement saw Vietnam surpass strong contenders like Armenia, Brazil, Egypt, Greece, Japan, and Saudi Arabia.
